Review: Sleek Blushes and Swatches♡

Sleek blushes are amazing, they are affordable and great value for your money. They are so pigmented so only needing a small amount on the brush goes a long way! Here (in the picture above) are coral, pixie pink and rose gold. I love these colours so much and look great in the summer months to give your face a bit of a boost. They come in at £4.49 from Superdrug here in the UK but are available for people to buy on the internet (www.sleekmakeup.com). As far as I know Sleek Makeup is not sold anywhere else other than Superdrug Drugstore.

Above from left to right is Rose Gold, Pixie Pink and Coral. There are many more colours to buy however I tend to stick to the pinky/red colours. They do a great brown blusher called Suede. These blushers brighten and define your cheekbones and give a long lasting radiant glow. They suit all skin tones!

The rose gold blush has gold shimmer which gives a shimmery look on your cheeks, some people like this and some people don't. However, I'm a huge fan of this and wear it on a daily basis. The pixie pink blush is very bright and only little is needed on the brush! I haven't used the coral much but when I have used it, it's great! (A good one for summmer!)

Review: MUA Lip Liner & Swatch♡

This MUA lip liner is in the colour 'Red Drama' it is a powerful matte shade and i feel would look best with a more natural eye. It is very easy to apply and has good strong coverage if you choose to fill the entire lip in. It has a smooth application and not a lot of pressure is needed; so no dragging of the lip. I feel this has a very good coverage, however it can make the lips feel dry. If you can pass this then you will love it! But, i choose to add a lip gloss over the top to add shine and to take away the dry feeling. The product being a tad dry has not put me off at all, and especially with such a low and affordable price tag!

Review: Sleek Eye Shadow Palette♡

This is a review on the Sleek Eye Shadow Palettes, this is what the packaging looks like.

All palettes are called i-Divine, but then have different names♡

^This is 'The Original' , this contains just one matte shade, which is the top left colour. the rest are shimmery and have a great shine.♡ 

This is 'Storm' which consists of 3 matte shades and 9 shimmery shades. The matte shades are the two right hand bottom colours, and the third shade in from the top left.♡ 

This is 'Oh So Special', this consists of 7 matte shades and 5 shimmery shades. This palette has a variety of colours which can be used for natural or smokey eye effects.♡ 

overall, sleek palettes are pigmented shades, most palettes have a variety of colours and can be used for many different eye looks. They price at £7.99 here in the UK but may vary  elsewhere. The palettes are defiantly a good buy, and there are many palettes to choose from. These are just 3 palettes, of more you can purchase.

Review: Kate Moss Lipsticks and Swatches♡

I absolutely love the Kate Moss lipsticks, every time I walk into a drugstore I go and look to see what colours are available. They are so creamy and pigmented, they also smell of cherry's which is always good! You can wear them anywhere; if your going out shopping, relaxing in the garden, going on a date. They suit every type of occasion as they don't look so full on as some other lipsticks do. I would recommend these to everyone i know, they are so fantastic!

Above are the three colours I have purchased: from left to right -01 is a deep red, 19 is a nice natural colour for all time of year and 05 is a every day wear. I want to buy more colours but haven't got round to buying them yet!

Here are some swatches from the lipsticks, as you can see they are beautiful colours. In   my opinion these are the best lipsticks in the drugstores at this current moment. These could be a Mac lipstick, they resemble them a lot. Hope this helped you decide on buying a Kate Moss Lipstick; they are great, you won't be disappointed with your buy!

Review: MUA Pro-Brow Kit♡

The MUA Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit simply gives you the perfect eyebrow! This kit is handy in every way, it's portable (small enough to fit in a make-up bag or handbag), comes with a small pair of tough teaser to pull out any of the unwanted strays. A small double ended brush is also included, one end is angled to get the perfect arch and definition, the other to apply the gel to set the product. It has got three shades of creamy shadows to give the natural effect (dark brown, dark blonde, light blonde), it then has a gel to make sure the product does not ware off during the day. It also has a small mirror. 

Application -

1. Use the tweezers to get rid of unwanted hairs.

2. Choose the shade of your eyebrow, or what ever look you which to achieve, then work the colour through using the angled end of  the brush. Finish the brow with a slick of gel for instant precision.

3. Highlight under brow-bone using the palest shade for instant lift.

Review: L'Oreal Eye Make-Up Remover♡

My L'Oreal gentle eye make-up remover was such a good buy. I've been looking for ages for one that removes make-up quickly and doesn't irritate my eyes. I come across this one and thought I'd give it a go. So far it's been brilliant. It takes off heavy eye make-up; eyeliner, eye-shadow, mascara etc. It's appropriate for sensitive eyes. It comes in a good size not to big and not to small; easy to put into your bag when staying out somewhere. It's a very good price at: £1.99-£2.97. Can be purchased at any drugstore!

Review: St.Ives Naturally Clear Face Scrub♡

St.Ives Naturally Clear Face Scrub.

The St.Ives brand has been voted the UK's No.1 scrub brand and it truly deserves it's title. It helps keep them unwanted blemishes away. Its for oily/blemish prone skin (other ones available, see bottom) and smells of apricots. Its made with 100% natural extracts and has been dermatologist tested. For the best results use 3 to 4 times per week. The scrub itself has small particles in which will exfoliate your skin as well as cleansing your face. I bought this on offer in Superdrug at £1.99; the prices can be from £1.99-£5.99 depending on where you buy from. It's a excellent face scrub and is now part of my daily routine!

Review: VO5 Heat Protection Styling Spray♡

♡♡♡

The VO5 heat protection styling spray is fantastic; spray on before any form of heat is being applied to your hair and it stops those horrible split ends and leaves your hair feeling voluminousness. 'Protect & shine, smooth finish'  This is what it does, exactly as said on the bottle. It can protect your hair from heat up to 230⁰c. It makes your hair smell amazing as it has a fabulous new fragrance! I would recommend this hair product to anyone as I've been using it for weeks and my hairs split end free and feels great. You can pick this up at any drugstore; prices vary at different shops. I paid £3.69 from Superdrug!

Maybelline MasterShape!♡

 

 

MasterShape Brow Pencil!♡

 

 

 

The Maybelline New York MasterShape Brow Pencil is an effective way to enhance the shape and colour of your eyebrows. It has two ends: 1. A brush to comb through your eyebrows so there is no excess left behind, 2. The actual pencil which is in the shade 'Dark Blonde'. On the outer packaging on the pencil it shows you the steps to have the pefect brow/arch. It doesn't come with a sharpener, as you will need to use one eventually when the pencil becomes blunt. However, a shapener is very inexpensive. You can purchase this from any drugstore, at the Maybelline stand.

Blush Candle!♡

Blush Scented Candle!♡

This Blush - The First Kiss Of The Night scented candle was purchased from John Lewis at a price of £8.50. It has a light pink cover, and an even lighter pink wax. It does also have four triangle wax extras, to add to the image (you can't see the ones in the picture because i couldn't help but burn the candle!). The easiest way i can describe the scent, is fresh and uplifting. The smell is better than it sounds! On the back of the tin, is says the candle burns from 30 - 35 hours and to burn for around 3 hours each time. This means you could get at least 10 goes of lighting the candle if you follow the recommended time. Blush is not the only candle you can purchase of this kind, there is: Fairy Dust, Wild Jasmine, Daisy Dip, Silent Night, Christmas Spice! There may be a few more, and ALL smell nice! I would recommend purchasing one, as not only do they smell nice but they look cute..!

The Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days moisturizing lotion. Is a refreshing Gel-Cream, which absorbs INSTANTLY! This is a bonus as you are not left feeling as though you can't move until it drys (like some moisturizers can). Skin feels intensively hydrated for up to 7 days. This is defiantly the highlight of the bottle as it means you will not have to moisturize everyday; this is for normal - dry skin. It has a very strong scent of L-Bifidus** and Grape extracts, in other words a summer scent? I highly recommend this to all people as it gives your skin that final lift that it needs after a shower or bath. As Spring is approaching soon, i would recommend purchasing a bottle as the heat and sun can really dry out your skin and leave it feeling rough. This will become a life saver for the Spring/Summer months!(:

Make-Up Tips♡

As I apply make-up everyday, i wanted to try and find some tips/tricks when doing so. There was many I could write down but these are a few of my favs!

Big Lips:

Use a colourless lip balm and apply to the area below your nose and between the peak of the top lip. By doing this it makes your lips look more fuller and helps towards a more glamorous lips.

Cover up those blemishes:

Using a concealer brush apply any needed cover up to blemishes in quick, short motions. This way it is much more effective than using your finger.

Flawless Cheekbones:

To do this you'll need a highlighting powder and a bronzer that's to a couple of shades to dark for your skin. Dust the bronzer along the hollows of your cheeks then by smiling you'll be able to see the apples of your cheeks, brush the highlighter along up to your temples.

Cracked Lips when putting on lipstick?

Your lips need exfoliating. You can simply use sugar and honey or a toothbrush in water. Both work for great, smooth lips!

Taking photos using flash?

More heavy make up is needed when taking photos using flash on a camera. This way your make-up will show up the way you want in the photos afterwards.

Soap & Glory is one of my most favourite brands; I've tried almost everything. A particular product that I enjoy using is the skin care range. After a shower/bath I use the foaming face wash to cleanse my face followed by the hydrating lotion. My face feels so soft and clean afterwards. They help prevent spots and to brighten up your skin for a glowing everyday look. These products are brilliant, I'll be going to buy new ones when they run out. As for the head band and exfoliate tool; these come in handy when applying moisturisers/face washes. (Saves tying hair up into a bun before hand!) The Single Girl's To-Do List, is one of my favourite books. It's filled with cute yet adventurous activities, which will keep you reading! It's a very girly book, which is more of a Summer read. That doesn't mean you can't read it now(: .It's all about a women called Rachel Summers who breaks up with her boyfriend, and isn't really sure what to do. So, she goes on all kinds of adventures that she wouldn't normally do. I enjoyed this book very much and would recommend it to all girls!

Make-up's a big part of our lives; as we use it everyday its important that we find good products to use. Our favourites at the moment are 'Rimmel London Wake Me Up' and 'Rimmel London Scandleyes Show Off Mascara'. We would recommend these to anyone as the foundation has brilliant coverage, hiding all those unwanted blemishes. As said on the bottle, it gives a radiant glow and gives a natural flawless finish. The price range is from £7.99 - £8.99 depending on where you buy from. The mascara is also a fantastic buy, it builds up your lashes to full volume without gaining any clumps or black under the eyes. The flat brush plumps and the unique ball brush lifts and defines the inner lashes. This mascara comes at a price of £6.99. Both can be purchased from your local drugstore.  

Fashion Magazines♡

Company, a fashion mag for the more teenage audience. It informs you on all things fashion, from the newest trends - to the latest mascara! It's filled with outfits that will inspire into your everyday look. Horoscopes, Competitions, Stories and whats trending. It keeps you occupied, and all for an affordable price.          

Glamour magazine, is aimed at the older reader as it contains life and work orientated articles. However, there is still fashion Do's and Don'ts, product recommendations. Also the stories that young people enjoy to read, with advice about relationships. It has been quoted 'Britians No1 Womens Magazine' and all for a price of £2. 

Look out for these magazines whilst out and about, as they can be a great read.

Review: BarryM Nail Vanishes♡

BarryM is one of our favourite nail vanish brands, its apply's smoothly onto the nail and last around 3-4 days before they begin to chip. Raspberry and Indigo are the more pigmented colours and only one coat is needed. Matt white, dusky mauve require more than one coat however, no more than two. BarryM's glitter range looks its best when a top coat of ~54 Clear~ is applied as the glitter tends to come off if not supported by the top coat. These nail vanishes are very affordable and are easy to get hold of as are sold in the drugstore Superdrug. The prices range from £2.99 to £4.99 depending on the type. Overall we would recommend warm colours for the winter and more adventurous radiant colours for the summer months.
